Yes, Even YOU can be SAVED!!! No matter who you are or what you have done. How can you spend eternity in heaven instead of eternity in torment in hell? If you ask the average person they may say things like…
- Be a “good” person
- Be kind to others
- Go to church
- Do good deeds for others
- Repent of your sins, etc.
While all of these things are good ways to live your life, they will not save you. Many people think that God puts all our good actions on one side of a scale and our sins on the other. If we do enough good actions they will outweigh the bad, and we will get into heaven. But heaven is a perfect place. God will allow no sin in heaven, not one. Revelation 21:27 states,
“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
Further, there is a debt payment for sin. the Bible clearly says that the only payment for sin is death. Romans 6:23 states,
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
What can we do? The fact is there is nothing we can do, for Romans 3:23 states,
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
The fact is we need someone who can pay our sin debt for us. Only someone without sin can pay that debt. That is why God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. Completely sinless, Jesus voluntarily served as our substitute. John 3:16 states,
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The Lord Jesus Christ (God in the flesh), lived a sinless life. He took our place by voluntarily dying on the cross as a sacrifice for our sin. On the third day he arose from the dead, offering forgiveness and eternal life to ALL that believe He did this for them.
Anyone, no matter what you have done or who you are can be saved and have eternal life. In the quietness of your mind believe on Jesus Christ. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as a sacrifice for your sins, He was resurrected on the third day, and He offers you eternal life. If you believe that Jesus did that for you, all your sins are forgiven (past, present, and future). You are now a child of God and have eternal life.
There is even more good news!!!! – Once you believe you are secure forever. No matter what you do, you cannot lose your salvation. John 10: 28-29 states,
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation…ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Just as there is no way you can work to earn your salvation, there is no way you can work to lose it. You are sealed! God did all the work to save you, and He does all the work to keep you. Beware of any church or others that say you can lose your salvation. Yes, God wants you to live a more godly life after you are saved. He wants you to do His work and help others to be saved. However, your salvation is never in question once you believe on Him.
To conclude, now is the time!!! Put your faith in Jesus Christ in what he has done for you. Take a few minutes and do it now. Life is short, there is little time to make this decision. Eternity is forever! I would like to spent it with you in heaven.
